The “On and Off the Field Impact Scholarship” was established by Chaz Roberts Law to honor outstanding high school football players who demonstrate grit and greatness both athletically and academically. This scholarship is designed to support students who exhibit hard work and commitment to academics as well as athletics, as we believe they are the individuals who will make a difference in their community.
Scholarship Details
Scholarship Name: Chaz Roberts Law “On and Off the Field Impact Scholarship”
Award: $1,000 check written to the selected recipient within 90 days of announcing the winner(s)
Purpose: To recognize and support high school football club members and players who also excel in the classroom.
Eligibility:
• Student has maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 thus far for the current school year.
• Student is currently a junior or senior who participated as either a player or trainer on one of the twelve high school football teams that participated in Courtesy Auto Group's Player of the Week initiatives for the 2024-2025 season
• Student demonstrates strong written communication skills and a clear understanding of why they are deserving of this award, as well as excellent time management, organization, & resourcefulness.

* Please remember to include your name, school name, and phone number where you can be reached about the scholarship in the body of email when you send your documents.
Application Deadlines:
* Applications must be received ON OR BEFORE the aforementioned dates! Applications submitted after 11:59pm CST on the date of your school's deadline will not be considered under any circumstances.
Review/Consideration Period:
Email submissions from students meeting all eligibility requirements that are received by their respective deadline will be reviewed and considered by a panel of judges, including but not limited to:
• One representative from Chaz Roberts Law
• One representative from Courtesy Automotive Group
• One representative from Lafayette Kiwanis
Judges will contact scholarship finalists on either the Monday or Tuesday following the application deadline. The finalists and their parents will be invited to attend their school's respective Annual banquet on the Wednesday of that very same week (either February 5, 2025 or February 12, 2025). One winning applicant will be announced at each of the two annual banquets, and will be presented with an award by Chaz Roberts of Chaz Roberts Law. The actual scholarship monies will be paid to winning recipients via check within 90 days of each announcement/banquet.
